Everyone’s talking about… Lily Allen
The singer appeared on Channel 4 News last night to discuss the Grenfell Tower tragedy in a highly emotive interview.
She accused the government of trying to “micromanage grief” and alleged that the authorities and the media were suppressing the true scale of the tragedy.
“I have never in my entire life seen an event like this where the death count has been downplayed by the mainstream media,” she said.
The singer was subsequently pulled from a scheduled appearance on BBC’s Newsnight.
